I am a consultant histopathologist at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

After training at St Bartholomews Hospital in London, I spent time as an A&E doctor before undertaking a role as expedition medic in Belize for Raleigh International.

I went on to train in histopathology at Guys and St Thomas in London and then Southmead and BRI hospital in Bristol. I passed my membership of the RCPath in 2000.

I became a consultant in 2001 at Southmead Hospital and completed my MD Thesis the same year as well as successfully passing the Royal College of Pathologists Diploma in Dermatopathology.

My special interests are uropathology and dermatopathology.

I am co-organiser of the Uropathology EQA Scheme and am the lead uropathologist for the Avon and Somerset Cancer Network.

I am currently Secretary of British Association of Uropathologists (BAUP) and the International Society of Uropathologists (ISUP)
